Letter to Roland
Rhoades: "Dear Sir. I hope you have a minute to read this. In January I will
be 91 and I have been using Fuller brushes since I was 14 years old. The brush I use now
is so old I don't remember when I got it, but I am sure it is 60 years old. I have worn
out two of the half round style ones - still have one - it's worn out of course. My hair
was very long and thick and now is quite thin and white. Just thought you
folks would like to know how old your wonderful brushes can get with just ordinary care.
Anyone who owns Fuller brushes will say it is a favorite and choice of brushes. Sincerely
yours, Gladys G" (Oregon)
#24 Witch Hazel Lotion, an exclusive Fuller product, has witch
hazel extract and no drying alcohol (unlike some imitators) and is a great all purpose
year round moisturizing lotion. Long time distributor Pat
Johnson also loves
Witch Hazel Lotion as a moisturizer after getting a sunburn, and she says
it is also great for bug bites and poison ivy.
She also says it helps prevent freckles for redheads who like the sun. Long time
distributor Bruce Breen says he sold lots of Witch Hazel Lotion for "Ash" dry
skin when he lived in NJ. Fuller Peppermint
Foot Lotion (replaced by Stanley #A6507 Naturals Cool-a-Ped) has been on TV lately as great for invigorating circulation in tired feet;
Ive sold some to home health care professionals.
Steve W in
Ohio
says “I sold a jar of #31 Dad
Fuller's Ultimate Skin Balm to a co-worker 2 weeks ago. He liked it so
well, he told other co-workers. They in turn asked me to get them some.
Well...... I sure did. In a 2 week span I collected orders for 74 jars!”
He says people are delighted with it and using it for their hands, faces,
and feet for problem dry skin. The word is still spreading as he sells even
more. One bought six more jars for everyone in her family.
Pat Johnson also tried this product and says that even though it felt like
putting petroleum jelly on at first, it all dried into her skin and is
WONDERFUL. She's getting more and telling people she knows. Product value
stories like this is exactly what makes Fuller Brush thrive as a company.
Although we are not allowed to make medical claims, another distributor who
prefers to remain anonymous, says it was the only thing he could find to relieve
hemorrhoids that actually worked. The label says: Provides "ultimate relief" for
dry, cracked, chapped, weather beaten skin! Enhanced with Ginger Root extract
known for its natural anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties, and Echinacea
known for its natural healing properties for burns, wounds, scratches, bites and
stings. Use everyday ... even on sensitive skin. Clean light fresh fragrance.
3.8oz jar.

Here is
a story from CNN (use Fullsan or Spray n San daily!):
Dishing the dirt on office germs
By Simon Hooper for CNN
LONDON, England (CNN)
--It's not just computer viruses that you should worry about at
work.
According to a University of Arizona
study, a typical desk is capable of supporting up to 10 million
bacteria -- 400 times more germs than the average toilet seat.
And workers who believe their desks are
clean enough to eat their lunch off are in for a nasty shock.
Longer office hours and the modern
appetite for workplace snacking have created an environment perfect
for bacterial contamination. "For bacteria, a desk is really the lap
of luxury," said Dr. Charles Gerba, the University of Arizona
microbiologist who conducted the research in 2002.
"They can feast all day from breakfast to
lunch and even dinner." Gerba's study found that bacteria levels
increased drastically during the day, peaking after lunch.
Telephones were worst affected, with
25,127 germs found in an average square inch on the receiver.
Desktops were also heavily contaminated, with 20,961 germs found.
Workers who prefer e-mail to the phone
aren't safe either. Keyboards were found to support 3,295 germs per
square inch, with another 1,676 settling on the mouse.
By contrast, the average square inch of
toilet seat supports just 49 germs.
While many workers like to keep their
desk tidy, few actually worry about cleaning it.
Even though crumbs and coffee spills are
capable of supporting mini eco-systems, the closest most office
space ever gets to a proper clean-up is an occasional cursory brush
with a duster. "Without cleaning, a small area on your
desk or phone can sustain millions of bacteria that could
potentially cause illness," said Gerba.
The good news is that a little bit of
hygiene management goes a long way to tackling the problem.
Among office workers who were instructed
to clean their desks daily with disinfecting wipes, bacterial levels
were reduced by 99 percent. "One good way to kill bacteria and help
stop the spread of germs is to regularly clean your personal
workspace," said Gerba. "Using disinfecting wipes can drastically
reduce your chances of illness."
And if you have to eat your lunch off
anything in the office, try the photocopier. With just 69 germs per
square inch, it's almost as clean as the bathroom.
#754 Appliance
Cleaner & Wax will put the shine back on your countertops and
appliances.
The #275 Angle Broom is our most popular broom. Steel
construction instead of plastic to hold the bristles in place. Long lasting, rinse-clean
polypropylene bristles resist chemicals, oil, and grease. Restaurants can keep this broom
sanitary. As one restaurant owner said, "I'm tired of buying a plastic cheapo every
few months that cracks and looks awful; a good one will save me money."
Bristles are also "flagged" to catch all the dirt and dust. Picks up everything
without having to press down - makes sweeping less tiring. Strong enough to sweep snow off
your walks also. The #276 Household Broom is the same, only not angled. The #223823
Kitchen Broom is also popular and has soft bristles.
See our PINK version #220822 that supports breast cancer
research. The Outdoor Push Broom
is terrific - 2 types of bristles to sweep up everything; handle brace recommended.
Our Peppermint Scented #743 Insecticide is great for
crawling or flying bugs like ants, wasps, and hornets inside or outside and is also a
certified mothproofer. It has a very fast "knockdown rate". I've used it for
ants on my kitchen counter, wiped them away, and found more dead ants there the
next morning, so it keeps on working too.
More stories about one of Fuller's top
selling products for the past 40 or 50 years: The #645, #647, & #648 12 oz Perfumed
Deodorant Blocks. They are very popular with people who know what they do - deodorize
musty areas and keep bugs out. Floral, Oriental Spice,
or Clean Cotton scent. Handy hang-up case available. Customers tell me that they drive mice
and other animals out of your house or camp! Place a block or crumbled pieces wherever you
hear noises or see traces of their presence. I live in an old house and keep blocks in my
attic to drive out bugs and wasps, and one in the cellar for spiders. Maybe it's more than
coincidence that I've never had a mice problem. You can use these in your closets to
deodorize your clothes of perspiration, smoking, and cooking odors. They kill moths and
carpet beetle larvae. Also a great deodorizer for diaper pails, garbage areas, and
automobiles. Note: In small areas, just poke a hole in the
wrapper rather than remove the entire wrapper, or use the #644 4oz
Floral blocks.
Our #749 Lemon DCW Furniture Wax customers are repeat customers.
They won't even finish up their old brand from the store. "DCW" means Dusts,
Cleans, and Waxes, with premium Carnauba wax. The #756 Duster Spray cleans and
polishes without wax.
The #159802 Slenderduster is terrific for dusting the hard to reach tight places in your home and have removable
washable covers.
What makes Fuller Brush Laundry
Detergent better?
We have two concentrated laundry detergents - Fuller
Plus Liquid, and Fuller 86
liquid and powder, and both
are phosphate-free. I prefer liquid to powder because I think it is more economical and
you don't have to make sure all that powder dissolves correctly. Hot water is best to
dissolve and activate powder, but who washes in hot anymore? Most store detergents have
dyes - ever wonder about that dark blue color and if it would stain your whites if you
pour it directly on them? Both of our detergents are dye-free and low-sudsing.
Both of our detergents have dirt fighting enzyme power. Fuller Plus also contains Fulsol
for extra stain fighting power, but I just add Fulsol to my Fuller 86. Fuller Plus has a
light citrus fragrance; Fuller 86 is fragrance-free. THAT is
evidently a very strong selling point, though it makes no difference to me. Many people
these days have skin allergies and their clothes make them itch or get a rash. It can
actually be the dyes and fragrances in their laundry detergent. I have many customers now
with very happy families since they switched to Fuller 86
(including Amway dealers who don't like their own soap!). Fuller laundry detergent is
about the same cost per use as store brands, but at wholesale and with the added benefit
of being able to tell your customers that you use it, it is a bargain. Why should
they buy Fuller products if you don't? Once the old soap residue is washed out of
your laundry, you can cut the amount of detergent you use. I
find half the recommended 1½ ounces to be plenty. The pump makes it easy to measure. Many
people start with the half-gallon #646 Fuller Plus and refill with the gallon #654 Fuller
86. Use the pump to prevent overuse; the #962 half-gallon pump pumps ¼ oz
per pump; three pumps (¾ oz) seems to be plenty unless you have hard water. A
#952 gallon pump squirts one ounce per pump, and is also graduated in fractions.
A gallon would do 128 loads at 1 ounce per load of laundry, making the retail
cost per load about 20¢. I think that's cheap.
#784 Ironing Fabric Finish is a starch-free must for anyone
who still irons. The job goes much faster and the clothes come out better.
